City colleges of Chicago, Centers for New Horizons and UCAN collaborated to create equitable enrollment in the Cannabis Dispensary Operations Certificate program offered by Olive Harvey College. Still I Rise, the name of the initiative, was created to prepare individuals with violence involvement who have cannabis records to work in a licensed cannabis dispensary and introduces students to the basics of legally dispensing cannabis in a licensed setting.

We developed a multi-channel digital marketing plan to target individuals with cannabis-related charges who are at a high risk of violence. By leveraging a microsite (irisechi.org), targeted billboards, social media ads and digital marketing, we were able to achieve over 2 million impressions, 4,000 microsite visits and fully enrolled the program in 3 months.
